Since you’re here, you might like to know I'm Leah and I like to draw block letters like I’m still in high school. I first studied design over a decade ago, but after a dismal experience in my first job as a junior designer - while I was a very naive 19 year old - I drifted away from the creative professions altogether. During the time it took me to eventually study design a second time, I did some cool stuff; I lived in London; I travelled most of Europe and parts of the US and Canada; and most importantly I learnt a lot about myself - which in turn helped me figure out what I wanted to do. About six years ago I discovered that under this so-called “big country town” façade of Brisbane, there was a burgeoning creative scene and it helped me decide where I wanted to be.
These days I’m grateful to have a regular income from my part-time job as a graphic designer that allows me the freedom of time to practice my lettering and illustration. Like most people I’m still trying to figure out my lot in life. I’m always open to new opportunities, so be in touch if you would like to work together.
